The Gospel of John, considered by many to be their favorite of the four Gospel accounts, is the focus of study in this series.  The unique perspective of the "apostle whom Jesus loved" provides a unique insight into the Master's life and heart.  John's purpose, as given by the Holy Spirit, is so simple yet profound.  In this letter, John emphasizes certain aspects of Jesus' life so that we "may be believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing" we "may have life in his name" (John 20:31).
